History of VMM-164

Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (VMM-164) “Knightriders”  is  based at MCAS Camp Pendleton, CA. The “Knightriders” were established on July 1, 1962, and have multiple missions including vertical replenishment and search and rescue. The Ridge Runners fly the MV-22B Osprey, manufactured by Bell-Boeing.
