History of HT-18 Vigilant Eagles

Helicopter Training Squadron EIGHTEEN (HT-18) was established in 1972 and is still currently active at NAS Whiting Field.

Helicopters have been a vital part our US Naval forces. With the introduction of helicopters the 101st Airborne division started deploying into battle mainly from helicopters as opposed to airplanes. An the helicopter patches are a representation of HT-18 squadron missions and deployments.
