HS-14 Squadron Patches

History of HS-14 / HSC-14

HS-14 was established on 10 July 1984 at NAS North Island in San Diego, California and originally flew the Sikorsky SH-3H “Sea King” helicopter. Later, HS-14 was re-designated HSC-14 in 2013 and is equipped with the Sikorsky MH-60S Seahawk.

Helicopters have been a vital part our US Naval forces. With the introduction of helicopters the 101st Airborne division started deploying into battle mainly from helicopters as opposed to airplanes. An the helicopter patches are a representation of HS-14 / HSC-14 squadron missions and deployments.
