HCS-4 Squadron Patches

History of HCS-4

Established on October 1, 1989. The “Red Wolves” of Helicopter Combat Support Special Squadron (HCS-4) support special operation missions and provide combat search and rescue services to the fleet.

Helicopters have been a vital part our US Naval forces. With the introduction of helicopters the 101st Airborne division started deploying into battle mainly from helicopters as opposed to airplanes. An the helicopter patches are a representation of HCS-4 squadron missions and deployments.
