History of HSM-70 Spartans

Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 70 was established February 12, 2009 at NAS Jacksonville, Florida flying the MH-60R Seahawk.

Helicopters have been a vital part our US Naval forces. With the introduction of helicopters the 101st Airborne division started deploying into battle mainly from helicopters as opposed to airplanes. This is the only  helicopter patch is a representation of HSM-70 squadron missions and deployments.
