Aviation Machinist’s Mate (J) Third Class MACHINIST’S MATE THIRD CLASS

                              United States Navy
                                   for service as set forth in the following
                             CITATION:

For meritorious achievement in aerial flight as a crew member flying fixed wing aircraft in Patrol Squadron NINE during missions in support of combat operations in southeast Asia against the insurgent communist guerrilla forces from 1 February to 31 May 1965.  In the successful completion of such missions, SKRZYPEK contributed materially to the success of United States efforts in Southeast Asia. His courage and devotion to duty in the face o hazardous flying conditions were in keeping with the highest traditions o the United States Naval Service.
