Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 764 (VMM-764) “Moonlight”  is  based at MCAS Miramar, CA. The “Moonlight” were established on April 15, 1958, and have multiple missions including vertical replenishment and search and rescue. The Moonlight fly the MV-22B Osprey, manufactured by Bell-Boeing.
